International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IB DP) at BISG

BISG is the only non-public school in the Tri-City area that offers high school students the opportunity to complete the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IB DP).

The IB Programme is recognized worldwide and opens doors to prestigious universities both in Poland and abroad.

IB Programme Grades 11-12

In Grades 11–12, students complete the two-year International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IB DP).


This challenging yet highly inspiring system of education fosters inquiry, intellectual independence, and responsibility for one’s own learning process.

Students choose one subject from each of six subject groups, with three subjects at Higher Level (HL) and three at Standard Level (SL).

All students also complete the IB DP Core, which includes: TOK (Theory of Knowledge), CAS (Creativity, Activity, Service), and EE (Extended Essay) – see below.

  • Mathematics: Analysis and Approaches (AA)
  • Mathematics: Applications and Interpretation (AI)

 

Group 6 – The Arts (or an additional subject from another group)

  • Film

 

DP Core

  • TOK (Theory of Knowledge) – developing analytical and philosophical thinking
  • CAS (Creativity, Activity, Service) – learning through action and engagement
  • EE (Extended Essay) – an independent research project

CAS – Learning Through Action

The CAS Programme at BISG offers students numerous opportunities for personal and social development, including:

  • Participation in theatre performances, concerts, and artistic events
  • Charity initiatives (e.g., Szlachetna Paczka, Charity Ball, various fundraising events)
  • Involvement in the Student Council
  • Organizing school events such as BISG Celebrates Talent
  • Volunteering and peer tutoring
  • Participation in sports competitions and social projects

 

CAS encourages students to plan, reflect, empathize, and take meaningful action for their community.

IB graduates are inquirers, knowledgeable, thinkers, communicators, principled, open-minded, caring, risk-takers, balanced, and reflective.
These qualities prepare young people to live, learn, and thrive in a rapidly changing world.

 

Admission for 2026/27

Admission to IB classes (for new students entering after Grade II of high school) is open until all available places are filled.

Maximum class size: 24 students.

Admission criteria for the IB Diploma Programme:

  • Report cards from Grades 1 and 2 of high school
  • Entrance exams in English and Mathematics (in English)
  • Excellent conduct grade
  • Interview (for shortlisted candidates)
