Critical Thinking &
Research Skills

We promote teaching methods that encourage students to actively engage in their own learning process, to ask questions, to think critically, and to conduct their own research. Students are motivated to seek knowledge independently, to develop analytical skills, and to collaborate in groups.

Inquiry-Based Learning

At BISG, inquiry-based learning empowers students to explore real-world issues, conduct experiments, and solve complex problems through collaborative projects, fostering critical thinking, creativity, and independent research skills. By integrating cross-disciplinary perspectives and hands-on experiences, this dynamic approach ensures students develop a deep understanding, practical knowledge, and adaptability for future success.

4

Values

We actively promote the development of ethical attitudes and values. With this in mind students are encouraged to reflect on their actions and how these actions impact on others and the world around them. Our teaching is based on key values which builds relationships among students and between teachers and students.

5

Interdisciplinary Projects

We place great emphasis on understanding how knowledge is related to real-world problems. Therefore, teachers collaboratively plan interdisciplinary projects that help students understand the connections between topics and their real-life context. We run humanities projects, STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) projects, literary projects and theatre productions which involve public speaking, singing and dancing.

6

Formative Assessment

Assessment at BISG is formative and multifaceted, encompassing both summative assessments (from tests and exams) and formative assessments (continuous progress evaluation, identifying students’ strengths, and setting goals). Students are also encouraged to reflect on their own learning process and self-assess their achievements.
