Preschool

In our preschool we have students from different countries and the primary medium of instruction and communication is English. As an institution registered with the Board of Education, we also meet all necessary Polish requirements.

We have three preschool groups:

Nursery – students aged 2,5 – 4,5
Reception – students aged 4,5 – 5,5
Class 0 – students aged 5.5 – 6.5

Our opening hours are 7:30 am – 5.00 pm (Monday-Friday). The monthly fee covers all activities during the day including the additional ones such as Art, Modern Foreign Languages, PE and Music. After lessons finish at 3.15 pm, children can participate in the preschool clubs (some require additional payment) or they can be looked after by our teachers in after-school care until 5.00 pm.

At our preschool we follow the British Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum (EYFS). It sets standards for the learning, development and care of children during preschool.

Through topic-based activities, students work towards achieving the Learning Goals in seven areas of learning:

Expressive Arts and Design

Our preschool is open from September until the end of July (including Summer School in the last week of June and four weeks of July).

Curriculum

At our preschool we follow the British Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum (EYFS). It sets standards for the learning, development and care of students from birth to 5 years old.

The EYFS framework supports an integrated approach to early learning and care. It gives all professionals a set of common principles and commitments to deliver quality early education and childcare experiences to all students.

Students in preschool are exposed to a wide range of topics and learning experiences from ‘All About Me’ through ‘Animals Around the World’, ‘Colours and Shapes’, ‘Christmas’, ‘People Who Help Us’, ‘Traditional Tales’, ‘Space’, ‘Easter’, ‘Minibeasts’ finishing with ‘Transitions and Changes’.

At preschool our staff work tirelessly to provide a happy, caring and safe environment which stimulates students’s natural curiosity and allows them to increase their knowledge and understanding. We ensure students develop their independence and ability to cooperate with others, talking and communicating in a range of situations whilst learning the skills needed to progress through school and future life.
